1. MOVIE NIGHT
You don't need to watch a movie about love, just find something that you all like to watch together. Make some popcorn. The kids will love it!
Put on a special morning tea and make some cupcakes decorated with icing piped into love hearts. You can sometimes find love heart sprinkles at the supermarket. I've made shortbread bikkies before. Just use a love heart cookie cutter. They are easy with basic ingredients.
Make meringues coloured pink or red, in the shape of love hearts.
Make red or pink smoothies. Cut watermelon and rockmelon into love heart shapes and push onto a skewer for kebabs.
Toast cut into love heart shapes with a cookie cutter. Or make little pizzas in the shape of love hearts.
Meatloaf cut into love heart shapes. Cook together and eat by candlelight.
There are free bookmark printables and colouring in pages on the Internet.
The Disney Family page has a lot of Valentines Day ideas to look at.
5. OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
Draw love hearts, and write Valentine's messages in chalk on your wall or path in your backyard.
Books above love, of course! Great books to choose are:
* Love board book
* I Love You Too
* The Things I Love Record Book
* If I Wrote a Book About You
* I Love You, Daddy
Make coloured love heart crispies and bear bikky bags. I've made some in my Valentines promo pictures opposite. They were so quick and easy to make, with just 3 ingredients. Get the recipe from our Pinterest page.
